Turtle Bay to Kahuku Point is an important site for the critically endangered laysan albatross, the Hawaiian monk seal, critically endangered Hawaiian yellow-faced bees and many other Hawaiian plants and animals. Kahuku point is a sacred ancient Hawaiian burial site. The bay is also one of the last wilderness beaches of the North shore. Hawaiians have enjoyed this pristine location for generations. It belongs to everyone! No building permits have been granted in this area since the 1980's and Arete Collective has begun paving this paradise without a current building permit! They have illegally dug up the forrest and their development threatens many endangered species and will endanger beach access for all of us for all our future generations.
